what we collect

With your permission, the message text you type, your chosen situation and vibe, optional recent context or goal, and any screenshot you choose to attach are sent to our backend (a Cloudflare Worker) solely to generate reply suggestions. The Worker forwards that content to OpenAI's API for processing and does not store the message or screenshot content after a response is returned.

Your reply history, saved favorites, AI data permission, and app preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults. Nothing in your history is transmitted to us or any third party.

To prevent abuse and verify Pro subscriptions, our backend stores an anonymous App Attest device key, request counters, and subscription status. When you subscribe, Apple handles all payment processing. TextWing receives only a token confirming your subscription status — we never see your payment details.

what stays on your device

All of the following live exclusively on your iPhone and are deleted when you uninstall the app:

• Reply history and favorited suggestions
• AI data permission
• App preferences and settings

no accounts, no tracking

TextWing does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not embed advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or crash reporters in the app. We do not collect your name, email address, location, or contacts. To prevent abuse and verify Pro subscriptions, our backend registers an anonymous per-device key using Apple's App Attest — it is not linked to your identity and is never shared with OpenAI.

third-party services

OpenAI processes the message text, selected situation and vibe, optional context or goal, and optional screenshot you submit in order to generate reply suggestions. Your use of TextWing means that content is also subject to OpenAI's usage policies (openai.com/policies). We require third-party processors that receive this content to protect it consistently with this policy and to use it only to provide the requested app functionality. We do not share your App Attest device key, Apple ID, payment details, contacts, location, email address, reply history, or favorites with OpenAI.

Apple provides the App Store and payment infrastructure. TextWing receives only your subscription status — never your payment details or Apple ID.

data security

All requests from the app to our Cloudflare Worker are made over HTTPS. Our Worker does not log or persist the content of your messages or screenshots. Local data on your device is protected by iOS's standard sandbox and data-at-rest encryption.

deleting your data

To remove locally stored reply history, favorites, permissions, and preferences, uninstall TextWing from your device. iOS will erase all associated UserDefaults and cached files. TextWing does not store the message or screenshot content you submit for AI replies.

children's privacy

TextWing is a dating-context app intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via an in-app message. Continued use of TextWing after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
